I perceive reading as the first step on the thousand-miles way that human being go before reaching enlightenment.
Nevertheless, it’s not a must to agree with all what you read because humans are different yet they were created to know each other and understand each other.
People are different! This is a very fundamental fact that unfortunately became fogged in our world and this is the reason behind many conflicts and clashes that occurred between people while interacting with each other in whatever situations. Consequently, if you want to understand more about whatever, you should read about it. After then, using your mind to process what you read is the core of the enlightenment process. Ignorance is the Enemy! People are the enemy of what they fear. OKAY! I know this is a global proverb which is rooted in many cultures in one way or another however my very simple + fundamental question: why don’t they try to know? We are not Cats, even if I’m a human cat myself :) , thus not merely we have brains but mainly we have minds! This is not a new discovery yet it seems that majority have tuned their minds to receive without thinking about what is being received just because whoever told them so! Blah, Blah, Blah! Isn’t this the Stairway for Stereotyping subjects, situations and others? In a nutshell: if reading is the first step on the thousands-mile way you cruise towards enlightenment then thinking is the transportation to such destination. Come On: Everybody has his/her own beautiful mind, and you are responsible to use it for rendering your own perspective! [*] Extracted from my personal blog |
