Question: If mud is dirt plus water, what is clay?
Answer: Clay equals Man.
In fact I put that answer automatically, maybe because -as Muslims- we known that Man is a clay creature, maybe this is a direct answer, but in the matter of fact, when I think more deeper in this question I found that the answer is in the question itself.
Mud = dirt + water, this is a basic fact, and so do Man. A deep look in the Human nature give us the same result; as it is a mixture of dirt + water, or better say Evil + Pure.
- When Man acts in good way, his pure part is taking role;
- When Man acts in bad way, his evil part is taking role.
That’s why I do believe that we are humans; neither angles nor devils, and for that matter we need to focus - for sure - on our good part in order to make it active as much as we can, but when we act bad - and sure we do - we must ask ALLAH (swt) forgiveness, simply because HE (swt) had created us an know that we are just humans.
- ”Allah tasketh not a soul beyond its scope. For it (is only) that which it hath earned, and against it (only) that which it hath deserved. Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget, or miss the mark! Our Lord! Lay not on us such a burden as Thou didst lay on those before us! Our Lord! Impose not on us that which we have not the strength to bear! Pardon us, absolve us and have mercy on us, Thou, our Protector, and give us victory over the disbelieving folk.” [Holy Qur'an 2:286 ]
